Anneke bio

My whole life I’ve been riding bikes. I started riding BMX when I was 4 years old. Now I am 33 years old and I am still riding my bike. My family supported me from the beginning on. After winning the National BMX championships 6 times and being World Champion twice, I was looking for a new challenge.

When I rode a mountainbike downhill for the first time in my life, I just loved it. From then on I knew what I wanted to do. Back then I got the opportunity to race for a professional Dutch mountainbike team and I learnt a lot about professional sports and how to get down a mountain fast.

A little girl’s dream came true when I became a professional bike rider. For the last years I've been riding for several professional mountainbike-teams. Upcoming season I will continue to race around the world with the help of Team GT Factory Racing. My main focus will be on the Enduro events and try to fight for the podium.

See you at the races!
